Warm welcome and intake
Our front‑desk team confirms your details, insurance, and any referral or claim paperwork. You’ll be shown to a private assessment room and given time to complete any remaining forms.
Thorough subjective assessment
Your clinician (physiotherapist, chiropractor, or RMT depending on the booking) reviews your medical history, current symptoms, functional limits, and goals. Expect clear, friendly questions about pain patterns, injury history, work/sport demands, and daily activities.
Objective physical assessment
A targeted movement and orthopedic assessment follows: range of motion, strength testing, joint mobility, posture, gait, and any special tests relevant to your complaint. For pelvic health or pediatric visits, assessments are adapted to comfort and privacy standards.
Clear diagnosis and explanation
Your clinician explains findings in plain language, provides a working diagnosis, and outlines likely contributing factors. You’ll receive education on your condition so you understand causes and prognosis.
Initial treatment and symptom relief
When appropriate, clinicians provide hands‑on therapy (manual therapy, soft tissue work), modalities (shockwave, electrotherapy where indicated), needling (IMS/dry needling by credentialed providers), or supervised therapeutic exercises to reduce pain and improve function.
Individualized home program and education
You’ll leave with a tailored home exercise program, practical self‑management strategies, posture/adaptive advice, and clear short‑term goals. Exercises may be provided digitally so you can follow them between visits.
Next steps and follow‑up plan
Your clinician recommends a course of care, estimated timeline, and measurable milestones. We discuss appointment frequency, expected outcomes, and when re‑assessment will occur. Direct billing, referral processes, and paperwork for MVA/WSIB claims are confirmed as needed.
Initial assessments typically last 45–60 minutes. Follow‑up sessions are usually 30–45 minutes depending on the treatment planned. Times may vary based on complexity and any required paperwork.
We offer direct billing to most major insurers and manage WSIB/MVA billing where eligible. Ask our team for specific insurer coverage details.
Cancellation policy: please give at least 24 hours’ notice where possible to avoid cancellation fees. Specific policies and late‑cancel fees will be outlined at booking.
